One station, one roof, no network of anything.

K1 records local conditions for a single building. The readings are used to decide practical things — when the roof drains are likely to freeze, how long the west wall stays wet after rain — and to see how much cheap sensors can be trusted after a year outdoors.

What the data is not

It is not a reference series. The site is a rooftop in a built-up area, so night temperatures read warm and wind is disturbed from the south-east by a taller neighbour. Anyone comparing against an official station should expect exactly those two biases.
