K1 Weather Log

A rooftop weather station that has to survive winter

K1 is one logger on one roof. These pages are the running notebook for it — what the sensors do, where they drift, and what turned out to be wrong the first time.

The station has been recording since the spring of 2024. It samples every 30 seconds and writes a five-minute average to a local SQLite file; nothing leaves the building automatically. The point was never a dashboard — it was to find out how much a cheap sensor stack drifts over a full year of frost, sun and rain.
